The Yamaha CLP665GP means the player can enjoy the luxurious look of a grand piano cabinet with a polished finish, as well as grand piano touch and tone.
The mini grand piano cabinet style and design brings elegance to any room. Its custom-designed sound system gives a deep and expansive grand piano sound reflecting powerfully off the piano lid.
The GH3X keyboard with synthetic ivory keytops offers an escapement mechanism which reproduces the depth resistance characteristic of a grand piano along with improved key return and response.
Yamaha’s CLP665 features the popular left-located full control panel with bright LCD display. This new model includes Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM), which enables the player to to give a performance with vivid and richly-varied expression.
2 Grand Pianos in 1 Cabinet
The new Yamaha CLP600 series now include full piano samples of the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial concert grand pianos. This is a huge step forward for Yamaha and their digital piano technology. Never before have they included a fully sample concert grand piano and now they have two! From the full, rich, bright tones of the CFX to the subtle, softer tone of the Imperial grand you have true diversity in this new range of Clavinovas.
Both of these superb pianos' voices are featured in the Clavinova. Tuned to perfection by a highly experienced piano technician with the sound from each key sampled individually, Clavinova truly captures the unique tonal character of each of these outstanding instruments.
With Clavinova, you can enjoy the exquisite beauty of the sought-after tone that the Yamaha CFX and Bösendorfer Imperial deliver.
Using knowledge gained from many years of piano manufacturing, Yamaha Clavinova has an incredibly realistic keyboard feel that recreates the sensation of playing an acoustic instrument. By using a similar hammer mechanism (with no springs) as that found in a grand piano, the GH3X keyboard action reproduces the touch of an acoustic instrument, from the heavier feel in the lower register to the lighter touch in the upper octaves. It also features a three-sensor configuration which accurately senses and interprets the behaviour of the keyboard to create a response and feel very much like that of a grand piano.
The newly developed GH3X keyboard features an escapement mechanism that reproduces a slight clicking sensation near the bottom of the key travel. It has been designed in such a way that the click is discernible only on the lightest keystrokes, similar to the keyboard of a grand piano.
