Hire Buy Scheme

Any instrument with a value in excess of £1,500-00 can be rented for a minimum period of six months.

The six-month hire cost for acoustic pianos is based on 17% of the full retail price of the instrument and the stool and 22% for digital instruments.

Delivery for upright pianos within a twenty-mile radius is £95-00.

Delivery for grand pianos within a twenty-mile radius is £120-00.

In the event of total loss of the goods, it is the hirer’s responsibility to reimburse Sheargold Pianos Ltd to the total value of the goods hired.

The six-month rental fee is re-fundable against purchase price of thehire piano or an instrument of similar or greater value (not including instruments on special offer or promotion).

PURCHASE OPTION DETAILS
FOUR OPTIONS TO CONSIDER AT THE END OF THE HIRE PERIOD
1. PURCHASE OF THE HIRE PIANO:
If you wish to purchase the hire piano within the initial hire period, the whole of the hire fee excluding the delivery and insurance charges will be credited back against the original full retail price as stated on the hire agreement.
2. PURCHASE OF A DIFFERENT PIANO:
If you wish to purchase a different piano than the one hired within the initial hire period, then providing it be of similar or greater value, the whole of the hire fee excluding delivery charges will be credited back against the full retail value of the instrument chosen (not including instruments on special offer or promotion.
3. EXTENSION OF THE HIRE AGREEMENT:
The period of hire may be extended on similar terms for a further 6 months. In the event that a purchase follows at a later date, the following rebates will be applied against the full retail value of the instrument chosen.
After 6 months: 100% rebate of total hire fees
Between 6 and 12 months hire: 70% rebate of total hire fees
Between 12 and 18 months hire: 50% rebate of total hire fees (the maximum rebate)
N.B. Hire in excess of 18 months does not qualify for any additional rebate. The percentages illustrated will be applied to the total hire fees received up to 18 months only, excluding delivery. Rebates cannot be applied to Sales or Special Offer Promotions that may be current at the time of purchase.
4. TERMINATION OF THE HIRE AGREEMENT:
At the end of the hire period, the contract may be terminated at no extra cost. At that point, all monies that are owing to the Company must be paid in full.
PAYMENT is due in full immediately upon receipt of the Hire Agreement. For purchase, the remaining balance must be paid in full at that point.
MOST IMPORTANT:
Under the terms of the Hire Agreement, you are responsible for the care and condition of the piano whilst it is in your possession (including tuning should it be necessary). The piano is not covered against more significant damage or total loss. We strongly recommend therefore that you include the piano and stool (if applicable) on your own household contents insurance up to their full retail value.
THE END OF THE HIRE PERIOD:
At the end of the hire period we will write to you regarding your options (see above). In the absence of any instructions within 14 days from the expiry of the current hire, it is our policy to automatically issue a further 6 months hire agreement (the same terms and conditions apply).
N.B. THESE PURCHASE OPTIONS MAY ONLY BE APPLIED TO THE FULL RETAIL PRICE AND CANNOT BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANY OTHER SALES PROMOTION THAT MAY BE CURRENT AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE.
