Back in the '20s, a Japanese musical instruments company began importing guitars made by the Salvador Ibáñez manufacturer in Spain. These guitars - mainly classical and acoustic - sold well through to the 1960s, by which point the manufacture of Ibanez guitars was in Japan, and the company began experimenting with 'wilder' designs and basing guitar shapes on European and American styles such as Eko, Gibson, and Fender. From here, the range was built up to include a huge selection of electrics, electro-acoustics, acoustics, and the traditional Salvador Ibáñez classicals.
To this day, Ibanez continue to kit out professional touring artists and bands with high-quality guitars, amps, and effects pedals, and are renowned for making tough guitars and cutting no corners on quality control and build.
As well as working with many bands and artists to find the perfect instrument, here at Sheargolds we realise the importance of starting out, and for this reason we stock Ibanez guitars for beginners and experienced players alike.
