Castor cups are a good way of spreading the weight of your piano's wheels across your floor. This helps reduce damage that may be caused by heavy castors on wooden floors or carpets. Castor cups increase the surface area between the piano and the floor. All of our castor cups are made from strengthened materials and have in-built rubber floor protection on the base. This ensures both that the piano will not move or more importantly damage your floor.
Laurel wood castor cups for pianos. Available in 45mm, 70mm and 100mm diameters.
How to make sure you choose the correct sized castor cups for your piano
Measure the width of your castors in centimetres. The castor should be less than the 'internal diameter' of the castor cup you choose. If you have twin castors as shown in the diagrams you must also make sure that the axle or bracket that holds the castor does not come too low as it can catch on the rim of the cup. If it is a tight fit it is usually better to go for the next size up to ensure a safe fit. If you are in any doubt you can always email us a picture of your castor with a ruler next to it and we can advise you.
