We have had this piano fully rebuilt to a fantastic finish.  We believe that pianos of this quality and stature should be restored to their full potential, which is why we do not 'recondition' the pianos, we 'restore' or 'rebuild' them.  This means that instead of repairing broken or faulty parts and 'sprucing up' the cabinet and soundboard we replace all the old action with a brand new modern state of the art action, we replace all the felts and hammers.  The soundboard is rubbed down to ensure any impurities are removed.  The case is completely re-polyestered and new music desk built. 

Once all the rebuilding was complete, our well experienced and renowned piano technician then set upon tuning, toning and regulating the piano.  The result is a beautifully sweet sounding German piano, with a rich and powerful tone.

All Grotrian Steinweg pianos are completely built in their factory in Braunschweig, Germany.  75% of each instrument is hand-made.  To build pianos with less effort would mean that they would never reach the high quality and stability expected from a Grotrian piano, nor would they sound so beautiful.
